Meet Dr. Raji
Dr. Raji was born in Tehran, Iran, and moved to Atlanta, GA when he was 12. His early interest in problem-solving led him to study biomedical engineering at Georgia Tech. He went on to attend medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, followed by a residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Raji further honed his expertise with a orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at Stanford University. Dr. Raji specializes in sports medicine, hip arthroscopy, shoulder surgery and cartilage restoration.
With nearly 40 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Raji is dedicated to advancing medical research. Dr. Raji's commitment to his patients' well-being and his advanced medical training make him a trusted specialist in his field.
Dr. Raji has extensive experience as a team physician, having worked with the Oakland Athletics, San Jose Earthquakes, and Stanford University Football and Men’s Basketball teams. He is currently serving as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the UI Health and University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine, where he will also serve as a Team Physician for UIC Athletics. He brings cutting-edge techniques to optimize outcomes for patients of all activity levels and ages.
